Find your local Dentist in Durham

I am a dentist who practices at Elvet Dental Practice, Durham City. To enquire about availability please contact the practice here.

I graduated from Newcastle University in 2007 and worked in private practice in Oxford.  I was privileged to work alongside some experienced and highly skilled dentists who acted as mentors.  During this time I sat the practical & written entrance exams to become a member of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons.

In 2014 I was awarded a postgraduate diploma with the University of Bristol. The diploma took three years to complete and it led to in-depth study various subjects within dentistry included endodontics and prosthodontics.

I now work at Elvet Dental Practice, live in Durham City and love it. I enjoy providing cosmetic treatments and I have four years experience of private practice and 14 years of experience providing Invisalign. I believe the best cosmetic treatments keep your teeth healthy, endure and impress. I particularly enjoy working with composite and provide composite cosmetic bonding and veneers when suitable. I aim to make dental treatments pain-free and try to make the whole 'dental experience' as easy as possible.

I enjoy learning and I am an advocate for providing care supported by research.  I am interested in current affairs, science, evidence-based health and the NHS. I sit as the chair of the Durham & Darlington Local Dental Committee. I love surfing and am the chair of South Shields Surf Club. I also act as a peer supporter and sit on the board of Directors for International Association of Premenstrual Disorders- a non-profit that advocates and educates professionals and patients around the disorder.

Above all, I am a husband and a father to four young children. I enjoy surfing, walking, DIY & volunteering for my church.
