Joining the Elvet Membership Plan:

We want our membership to be as transparent as possible. Below is a summary of our core terms. Please ensure you have read these before signing up.

1. Starting Your Membership

  • Dental Fitness: Membership is for patients who are dentally fit. New patients are required to have an initial assessment (£70) before joining. If you need treatment to become "fit," this will be charged at our standard private rates.

  • Commencement: Your plan starts on the date of your first successful Stripe payment.

  • Waiting Period: You can access your included benefits (like exams and hygiene) once you have completed three consecutive monthly payments, unless we agree otherwise.

2. Your Benefits

  • Annual Rolling Limits: Your included check-ups and hygiene visits must be used within each 12-month period; they cannot be carried over to the following year.

  • Exclusions: The plan covers routine maintenance. It does not cover laboratory fees (e.g., for crowns or dentures), implants, orthodontics, sedation, or specialist referrals.

  • Not Insurance: This is a maintenance contract to spread the cost of care. It is not an insurance policy and does not cover out-of-hours emergencies or dental trauma.

3. Payments and Cancellations

  • Monthly Collections: Payments are collected by on or around the 1st of each month.

  • Missed Payments: If two consecutive payments fail, your membership and discounts may be suspended.

  • 12-Month Commitment: While we hope you stay with us long-term, there is a minimum membership period of 12 months.

  • The "Clawback" Clause: If you cancel within the first 12 months after receiving discounted treatment or included check-ups, the practice reserves the right to recover the difference between the membership fees paid and our full private clinical fees.

4. Patient Responsibilities

  • Attendance: Please book your appointments in good time.

  • Cancellations: We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or move an appointment. Failure to provide notice may result in that appointment being "forfeited" from your annual plan allowance or a failure-to-attend fee.

Elvet Plan Q&A

Our plans are preventative maintenance memberships.

They are not insurance policies, but they help you:

  • Attend regularly

  • Stay dentally fit

  • Spread the cost of routine care

  • Access reduced private treatment fees

  • Prioritise long-term oral health

Is this dental insurance?

No. These are maintenance plans covering routine preventative care provided at Elvet Dental Practice. They do not cover accidents, trauma, or treatment carried out elsewhere.

Do I need an assessment before joining?

Yes.
You must be dentally fit to join.

If you are new to the practice, a Dental Fitness Examination (£70) is required before joining.

If you are a routine and recent attender and clinically up to date, no additional assessment fee is payable.

When can I use the benefits?

Membership begins once your first monthly payment is received.

Included benefits are normally available after three consecutive monthly payments, unless otherwise agreed.

Benefits must be used within each rolling 12-month period and cannot be carried forward.

How do payments work?

Payments are collected monthly by Stripe Payments UK Ltd.

If payments fail:
• Membership may be suspended
• Benefits may be withdrawn
• Arrears must be cleared to continue

Fees are reviewed annually with at least 30 days’ notice.

How do I cancel?

You may cancel:

• Within 14 days of joining for a full refund (if no benefits have been used)
• After this, with 30 days’ written notice

Membership is intended to be ongoing, and patients are expected to remain members for at least 12 months.

If you cancel within the first 12 months and have used plan benefits, the practice reserves the right to recover the difference between:
• The full private fee value of treatment received, and
• The total membership payments made

Full cancellation details are set out in the Terms & Conditions.

Where can I read the full Terms & Conditions?

Full Terms & Conditions are available:

• At reception
• On request via email
• On our website
• Or provided during online sign-up

We encourage all patients to read the full agreement before joining.

Why Join?

Regular attendance reduces the likelihood of:
